Plan your visit
We know walking into a church for the first time can feel a bit daunting — especially if it’s been a while, or you’ve never been before. So here’s everything you need to know, no surprises.
When and where
Sunday mornings at 10:30am, 11–17 Melrose Drive, Wodonga.
The service runs for about an hour and fifteen minutes. You’re welcome to arrive a few minutes early — someone will be at the door to say hello and hand you a newsletter with everything that’s happening that morning.
What to expect
We meet in a straightforward building — nothing flash, nothing intimidating. You’ll find chairs arranged in rows, a simple PA system, and a screen at the front.
A typical Sunday looks like this:
- Some singing together (words are on the screen — no hymn books to fumble with)
- Times of prayer in the service
- A sermon from the Bible, running around 30–35 minutes
- Morning tea afterwards, which is where a lot of the good conversation happens
We’re not a performance church. What you’ll find is a group of regular people genuinely trying to follow Jesus together.
What to wear
Whatever you’re comfortable in. Seriously. You’ll see people in jeans and people in collared shirts — both are fine. There’s no dress code and no judgment.
Kids and families
Children are welcome in the service. Some families like to stay together for the whole service. Others take the opportunity for children to engage with a kids’ program that runs during the sermon for primary school-aged children — they head out partway through and come back for morning tea. Younger children are welcome to stay with you throughout.
If you have a baby or toddler and need a quieter space at any point, just ask someone, and we’ll sort you out.
Parking
There’s free parking directly on site. Pull into the driveway off Melrose Drive, and you’ll see there are heaps of car parks.
Morning tea
Don’t bolt after the service. Morning tea is where you’ll get to meet people properly — good coffee, a biscuit or two, and a genuinely warm welcome. It usually runs for 30–40 minutes, and sometimes longer. Nobody will make you feel like you’re in the way.
Any questions?
We’d love to hear from you before you come, if that helps.
