A Servant Girl Who Shared Her Faith

Preacher: Rev. John Mercer
Date: 11 April 2010
Readings: 2 Kings 5:1-19, 1 Corinthians 1:18-31.

This girl was taken captive by the Arameans as part of God’s judgement on his apostate people Israel, but she was a true believer in the LORD. Despite her captivity, she was motivated to love her captors and made the most of her opportunities. Training in Godliness from the earliest days is immensely valuable. Whether we teach our children or not, Satan will not hesitate to do so.

Naaman believed the girl and got permission to go to Israel. In all that followed, God showed His glory to the godless nations that despised weak Israel. God is pleased to use despised things for His purposes.
